HOW TO VERIFY YOUR BUSINESS ACCOUNT

Apple has announced changes that will adversely affect the way Facebook ad systems work and may affect your ability to reach people with personalised ads. These changes are expected to be introduced with an update to iOS 14 in early 2021.

There will be a further step to take after all this with regard to your Facebook conversion events in terms of ordering them in priority.

Step 1

Update Business Information

In  Facebook, go into your Business Manager settings to fill out business details in ‘Business Info,’ see below image

OR 

Type into Google search ‘Facebook Business Manager,’ log into your Business Manager settings to fill out business details in ‘Business Info,’ see below image.

Alternatively, if you have Business Suite, go into your settings and select ‘Business Account Info’

Step 2

Verify Your Domain

1) In your business manager, go to ‘Brand safety’ and verify the domain name.

2) You will have to ‘add’ your website URL without ‘/…’ e.g.: netvisibility.com

3) Either follow the instructions from Facebook onto your website OR If you have a web developer send these to them and the Facebook TXT record (this is in step 2 below and will start with ‘Facebook-domain-verification=…’

4) Once that is verified go into ‘security centre’

There will be an option to verify your business and will take you through the steps.

Check Your Verification is Complete

Step 1) Go to ‘Brand safety’ in Business Manager Settings and click on ‘domain.’ 
 
Step 2) If your Domain is verified you will see a green dot by your Domain Name (see image below)
Step 3) Go to ‘Security Centre’ in Business Manager Settings 
 
Step 4) If your business is verified you should see a green badge (see below image)
